I’m a researcher at Apple working with Stephan Richter and Vladlen Koltun, and an incoming Assistant Professor in ECE at the University of Texas at Austin. I spent two wonderful year as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford, working with Leonidas Guibas and Gordon Wetzstein. I obtained my PhD at Cornell Tech, advised by Serge Belongie and Bharath Hariharan. During my doctoral studies, I collaborated with various industry labs, including NVIDIA, Intel, and Google. Prior to my PhD, I received my Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science.
My research lies in the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and computer graphics. I’m interested in building artificial intelligence that can learn efficiently from limited data and work in the real 3D world. Here is my Research Statement.
Outside research, I enjoy traditional rock climbing and playing classical piano.
