Guandao Yang
I’m a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford, working with Prof. Leonidas Guibas and Prof. Gordon Wetzstein. I earned my PhD at Cornell Tech, advised by Prof. Serge Belongie and Prof. Bharath Hariharan. During my doctoral studies, I collaborated with various industry labs, including NVIDIA, Intel, and Google. Prior to my PhD, I received my Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science.
My research aims to create AI that can generate and understand 3D data, combining advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and computer graphics.
Outside research, I enjoy traditional rock climbing and playing classical piano.
